A convoy of 10 warships of the military junta, which arrived at Bhamo, Kachin State, returned to lower places via Bhamo.

At 8 am on September 5 (today), the convoy of warships departed from Bhamo and was attacked by the revolutionary forces near the Sin Khan Bridge.

β€œThe 10 ships returned to the lower places at 8 am this morning. The groups from Bhamo launched attacks on the Sin Khan Bridge, and some were hit,”

a local military source told BBM. The revolutionary forces reportedly hit one of the ten (10) military junta warships and sank the rest, but BBM has not been able to confirm this.

In addition, the warships looted uninhabited houses in some neighborhoods of Bhamo, where the military is based, and took away many valuable items, a local resident told BBM.

β€œThe ships looted and took away items from some neighborhoods in Bhamo. They forced the prisoners to carry the items,”

a local resident told BBM. The junta is reportedly conducting reconnaissance flights over the ships using Y-12 aircraft, and the revolutionary forces have warned people along the Irrawaddy River to be vigilant as they may encounter indiscriminate shelling from the military junta’s air and naval forces.
