According to local military sources, the military has offered the Thida Yu Mon-led Pyu group one hundred millions kyats per village if they can capture the areas and villages held by the revolutionary forces in Myingyan Township and Natogyi Township in Mandalay Division.
Since the revolutionary forces are strong in Central Myanmar, the military junta has been relying not only on its subordinate forces but also on the local Pyu Saw Htee forces, especially the Pyu Saw Htee forces led by Thida Yu Mon from Myingyan.
The Pyu Saw Htee groups, which are experts in the areas, are not only targeted at the revolutionary forces, but also targeted the homes of the people in the areas where the revolution is strong, looting and burning them.
Now, the military junta has offered the Pyu Saw Htee unit led by Thida Yu Mon in Myingyan Township a reward of one hundred millions kyats if it can capture a village in the areas where the revolutionary forces are strong.
In addition, when attacking and capturing villages where the revolutionary forces are strong, at least (5) villages must be captured, and all the money will be collected once (5) villages are completed, a comrade who left the military and is serving in the Taungtha PDF told BBM.
“The Central Military Command (La.Pa.Kha Division) has shown great respect for Thida Yu Mon and said that if they can capture a village in the revolutionary area, he will give one hundred millions kyats.He must be able to capture at least five villages,”
the comrade added. The Pyu Saw Htee forces led by Thida Yu Mon have made this offer by the central military command after they have captured some camps of the Myingyan Black Tiger (MBT) Battalion (3) in recent months.
“After capturing one or two camps of the MBT Battalion (3), the Central Military Command has shown great respect for Thida Yu Mon and said that they will provide him with weapons and that they will capture them. In reality, this is a covert operation,”
the comrade said. In addition, the military leaders within the Central Military Command believe the Pyu Saw Htee more than the soldiers under them about the military situation in the Myingyan, Taungtha, and Natogyi areas.
“When I was in the army, these areas were fighting in a line. Even if you were a colonel, that news wouldn’t be accurate, considering the situation on the ground. But if they (Pyu Saw Htee) say it, I believe them,”
the comrade added. The military junta has been using a four-pronged approach around the Myingyan area in recent months, where the revolutionary forces are strong, and is also reinforcing its forces through Mahlaing Township and attacking in a line, according to military sources on the ground.
