π₯1 monk was killed, 1 civilian was injured
The military junta bombed Kyauktaing Village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, with 3 gyrocopters, killing 1 monk and injuring 1 civilian, a local source told BBM.
At around 10:20 a.m. on September 18, three gyrocopters of the military junta, which from Meiktila Air Base, dropped one bomb on the Shwe Zaydi monastery ,east of Kyauktaing Village in Myingyan Township, and two bombs on a mango farm south of the village, killing 1 monk and injuring 1 civilian.
“The military junta’s gyrocopters dropped the bombs on the Shwe Zaydi Monastery east of Kyauktaing village. A 60-year-old monk who was in the monastery was killed. The bombs were also seen from above and targeted people working in the fields outside the village. A woman in the field south of the village was injured,”
a local source said.
“The gyrocopters saw people in the field from the gyrocopter and deliberately dropped them. It was terrible.It was very loud. We heard four explosions in total,” a witness said.
At around 9:30 a.m. on September 17, three gyrocopters also carried out an airstrike near Pann Paung village in Taungtha Township.
