12 civilians were killed, 20 were injured, and missing

BBM has learned that 12 civilians were killed, 20 were injured, and missing when a Yak-130 jet fighter from the military junta dropped bombs on the western part of Taze Township, Sagaing Region.

At approximately 11:38 a.m. on September 26, a Yak-130 jet fighter from the military junta’s Tada-U Air Base attacked the Zwe Htet Restaurant and Novel One gas station in Kan Htoo Ma village, west of Taze Township, dropping one 500-pound bomb and two 250-pound bombs.

The attack caused 12 people dead, including Ma Htet Moe Oo, a second-year student at the University of Education (specializing in primary education), and passers-by, female employees of a petrol station, and bricklayers. More than 20 were injured and others are missing.

“It must have been 500 pounds for one, 250 pounds for two. It was a restaurant (selling ice cream, cakes)and a petrol station,”

N.A.S told BBM. The military junta said there was no fighting and that the bombs were dropped for no reason.

“This was a random drop. The area where the military junta dropped the bombs is controlled by the revolutionary forces,”

he added. Recently, the military junta has been known to collect information from the disguised military junta security affairs corps and military junta scouts before carrying out airstrikes to increase the damage.

“The military police send out various types of spies and informants. They get news from all over the place at any time. There are also many military junta scouts who are pulling a line. The military police commanders and officers have sent people to be reporters in a line,”

N.A.S continued. N.A.S warned that the military junta should always be aware of the fact that it is relying on weapons and air power to attack ruthlessly at any time, place, weather, and against people and comrades.
