A clash is intense between the military junta and the revolutionary coalition forces in northern Ye Township, Mon State, and dozens of military junta soldiers, including officers, were killed, according to the revolutionary forces.

Before October 10, the military junta forces that were marching offensives near the villages of Kaning Kamawt, Aung Tharyar, Leinmaw Gyan, and Aung Tha Pyay, were engaged in clashes with the revolutionary coalition forces.

The Mon State Revolutionary Army (MSRF) reported that more than 10 military junta soldiers, including a captain, were killed and many others were injured in the three-day clash.

“The military situation on both sides is still tense. Their military line encountered the coalition forces and the military junta soldiers retreated. They are not retreating far. They are reinforcing and are in a position to return,” a comrade based in northern Ye told BBM.

He added that there is also concern among the locals about the continuous shelling of the villages by the military junta.

The current military regime’s military line is forming three lines, one towards Kwan Kyaik village, one towards Aye Tharyar village and Leinmaw Gyan village, and another between them.

A person assisting displaced persons said that the military regime’s military forces have been arresting local civilians and using them as human shields.

“When the military junta soldiers entered, the locals ran and avoided them. It is not easy if the civilians meet incidently the military junta line. They are arrested all at once, and they are used as human shields, regardless of age,” a person assisting displaced persons told BBM.

Those who join the military line are said to have to pay large sums of money to the military junta regime to be released after a week to a month.

The current military tension on the No.8 Pyitaungsu Road (Thanbyuzayat-Ye Road )is such that the revolutionary forces are urging people to be careful.
