17 members of military junta soldiers, who burned down the houses in Wetlet, were killed in an ambush in Wetlet Township, Sagaing Region, an official from the People’s Servant Revolution told BBM.

On November 6, a 180-strong military junta convoy, which burnt down the houses from Ywar Thar Gyi village, was ambushed by revolutionary forces on its way to a military junta base in the town, and causing 17 military junta soldiers dead on the spot. The entire convoy was destroyed and retreated to a military junta base in Wetlet township.

“We will fight every military junta convoy that enters Wetlet Township. During the ambush, we dropped bombs with drones. We mostly used small arms to fire. The casualties among the military junta soldiers were in various forms,” the official said.

One comrade from the revolutionary forces was reportedly injured during the attack.

The military junta is currently deploying military lines in Wetlet Township, so the revolutionary forces also inform the public to follow the instructions of relevant organizations.

“The military columns are still conducting, so there is more work to do. I would also like to tell the public to stay away from these guys,” the official added.

The attack was carried out by a joint force of revolutionary forces, including the People’s Servant Revolution, the Lightning Guerrilla, and the Nat Taung Naga Revolutionary Force.
