A young man returning from the industrial zone in Mandalay City was arrested by the Pyu Saw Htee group members at knifepoint and is being forcibly recruited into the military junta on drug charges.
In the last week of November, Ko Arkar was forcibly arrested by the Pyu Saw Htee group under the military junta as he was returning from work at a car repair shop in the Mandalay Industrial Zone.
After that, they took Ko Arkarβs mobile phone, added and followed accounts related to the revolution, and then took evidence and accused him of supporting the PDF.
Not only that, they also found drugs in Ko Arkarβs bag, and after putting the drugs in the bags theirselves and taking a photo with Ko Arkar, they took them to the Ward Administration Office in Pyigyi Tagon Township and detained them.
βIt happened around the end of November. They forcibly took phones and posed for pictures as they wanted, and then posed with him with drugs. He couldnβt do it because there are many junta police and soldiers. After that, they asked him if he would go to prison or join the military junta,β a person familiar with the incident told BBM.
In addition, he added that a total of (15) women and men, including Ko Arkar, were arrested in the Pyigyi Tagon administration office and were pressured to join the military junta for various reasons.

The military junta has recently announced that the military junta soldiers and police are no longer recruiting porters in Mandalay Township, but rather Pyu Saw Htee.
These Pyu Saw Htee are often seen roaming around Mandalay on cars and motorcycles, targeting factory workers and people who come from the countryside to work.
βIn Mandalay, the junta police and soldiers are no longer recruiting porters, they only raise the Pyu Saw Htee to forcily arrest the youths as porters, and these Pyu Saw Htee also roam motorcycles around the city. The main target is factory workers and the lower classes who come from the countryside. After that, they are recruited into the military junta for various reasons.β
The military junta has been carrying out recruiting porters more recently to recruit for the upcoming military service batch-20, and there have been increasing many lists of people who disappeared in major cities like Yangon and Mandalay.
