After the initial deaths, the military junta took 8 civilians hostage and retreated
Bagan Bo Cho PDF reported that the military junta’s revolutionary forces, which had come to burn down villages near the Bagan Nyaung U-Chauk road in Mandalay Region, were retaliated by the military junta’s forces, resulting in casualties on the military junta side.
A 50-strong military junta’s column, including three armored vehicles, the military junta’s soldiers and the Pyu(supporters of the military junta), was stationed as reinforcements around Myay Thant Taung village, about five miles off the Bagan Nyaung U-Chauk Ka road, and the revolutionary forces were preparing to wait in anticipation due to news that another column, consisting of the military junta’s army, police, and the Pyu , was coming to burn down the village.
At around 8:30 a.m. on July 12, 2025, the military junta’s troops arrived at the place where the revolutionary forces were waiting, and they attacked the village with landmines, anti-personnel mines, and drones. The military junta suffered casualties and retreated from the village.
The column returned from the Mee Laung Hpyar (north) village,then burned down two huts near Uyin village, took (8) civilians hostage, and then joined the Kakin military camp near Myay Thant Taung village.
After that, the wounded soldiers in the column were taken to Nyaung U Hospital in three light track vehicles, while t looks of the military junta entered the 415th Battalion near Nyaung U.
The Bagan Bo Cho PDF also reported that the attack was carried out jointly by the Pauk PDF Drone Force ,the Magway PDF Drone Force and other revolutionary forces.
