🟥 Military junta killed civilians by airstrikes in Mogok
According to sources on the underground, the military junta has tightened security in Mogok, which it controls, after fierce battle near Mogok.
After the military junta reclaimed Mogok, which was captured during Operation 1027, from the TNLA with the help of China, it began deploying large numbers of troops and weapons in and around Mogok from the end of November.
In addition, the military junta has extended its military lines to the areas where the Spring Revolution forces retreated outside Mogok, so there are clashes and fierce attacks by the revolution forces on the military junta’s bases.
During these clashes, the revolutionary forces captured an important military base in the west of Mogok, and after losing the junta base, the military junta has tightened security and conducted more inspections in Mogok town.
“Since the 5th November, these guys have tightened security in the town. They are checking all motorbikes and cars, in front of the school, near the Min Bridge, and they are also conducting random inspections. Yesterday, they arrested in all the people passing by at the traffic light,” a source on the ground told BBM.
In addition, there are frequent patrols in Mogok town with vehicles loaded with jammers, and there are also people walking around in civilian clothes.
Like Mogok, the military junta has also been dropping terrorist bombs from the air in Mogok, which was taken over from the TNLA, and the source added that at least 10 civilians were killed in the bombing.
“There have been two consecutive days of bombing in Momeik, yesterday at 9am, today at 10am. We know that 11 people died yesterday, but today we don’t know yet. We also hear that there are refugees.”
Since the news that the military junta will take over Mogok and Momeik from the TNLA came out, the revolutionary forces have announced that they will defend these towns.
Similarly, on November 6, the NUG’s Ministry of Defence has gathered the PDFs and People’s Defence Forces in Mogok and Momeik townships and is closely monitoring them through a unified command and control system.
In addition, since November 30, when the military junta troops began to invade, there have been at least nine major and minor clashes between the revolutionary forces and the military junta.
