🟥4 people including a pregnant woman were killed and many injured
In Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, the military junta troops were marching along the Myingyan-Natogyi road. On August 4, the military junta entered Mrauk Kone village, Myingyan Township, and shot and killed civilians.
On August 4, the military junta troops from the 15th Infantry Division entered Mrauk Kone Village, on the border of Myinyan Township and Mrauk Kone Township, and shot and killed everyone they saw in the village, according to a local resident.
“When the military junta troops enter this side, they shoot and kill everyone they see. This time, they even shot and killed the pregnant woman. When they come here, they all run away,”
a local displaced person told BBM. During the shooting, U Aung Aung Oo (30), his pregnant wife Ma Thin Swe (30), their daughter Ma Yune Set (10), and Daw Pae (45) were injured by bullets.
Ma Thin Swe, Ma Yun Set, and Daw Pae died from bullet wounds, while U Aung Aung Oo is still receiving treatment.
“When the military junta troops march, they shoot and kill people to make them flee, and when people flee, they steal as they please in the villages. The Pyu do not get salaries or support, so when they advance, they only get what they can loot,”
a local revolutionary comrade told BBM. The number of displaced people in the villages east of Myingyan is increasing day by day due to the military offensive by the terrorist military junta, and the number of displaced people has now reached over 6,000.
