🟥Hundreds of military junta soldiers have been killed

A source close to the AA military source in Ayeyarwady Region said that hundreds of military junta soldiers have been killed in clashes between the military junta and the Arakan Army (AA) and People’s Defense Forces(PDF) in Lay Myet Hna Township, Ayeyarwady Region.

On July 22, the villages of Pan Taw Gyi, Magyi Kone, Kyauk Sayit Kone, Nyaung Kone, Magyi Pin Kwin,and Kyar Kite Kwin in Lay Myet Hna Township, located on the Pathein-Monywa road, were occupied and controlled by the Arakan Army (AA) and People’s Defense Forces (PDF), and the military junta launched a military offensive to regain those areas, resulting in clashes.

On July 23, the AA and the People’s Defense Forces intercepted a military junta column of over 100 soldiers of the 66th Battalion near Let Tan Nge village, killing hundreds of military soldiers, according to a source close to the AA military source.

“The AA and PDF were attacking the military junta column since the 22nd of this month to take control of the Pathein-Monywa road. On the 23rd, they fired about nine shots at the marching military column and drove it to their firing range. When the marching military column entered their firing range, the AA and PDF surrounded and attacked, killing more than 80,”

said a source close to the AA military source. Similarly, in recent days, the military junta columns have been continuously attacking along the Pathein-Monywa road, so fighting is still intense, the source added.

“We heard that there was fighting today too. The fighting is intense when the military junta march. It is intense every 3 or 4 days,”

the AA military source added. The military junta said that on July 16, in order to counter the offensive by the Arakan Army (AA) and the allied People’s Defence Force(PDF) in Ayeyarwady Region, the Southwestern Regional Command (Na Ta Ka) and the Pathein Naval Headquarters (No.26) deployed tanks and military equipment, and three warships along the Ngawun River to reinforce the military forces in Lay Myet Hna Township.

2 locals were killed, 13 were injured, 4 were in critical condition injured by military aircraft in Mogok

The military junta has been dropping at least 6 bombs on Mogok, Mandalay Region, since morning without any fighting, just minutes apart, destroying residential buildings and killing 2 locals, injuring 13, and injuring seriously 4, a local resident told BBM.

On Tuesday, July 29, the military junta dropped bombs for the first time near the Royal Gas Station and the Min Tada Agricultural Farm in Mogok, the second time was at chapel in front of the Sakhan Thar market at 9:55 am, and the third time was at around 10:30 am near the RQ Hotel in Bee Taung, a total of 6 bombs.

“They have been coming since 9:30 this morning. They have dropped two bombs at a time, and three times have dropped. The planes are still flying,”

a local told BBM. On the night of July 13, the military junta dropped 500-pound bombs on Panma Hteik village in eastern Mogok town, injuring 6 people and damaging 7 houses where people live.

In addition, on the evening of July 26, two 250-pound bombs were dropped on the Golden Butterfly Hotel in eastern Mogok town, killing 1 local man and injuring 3 others, as well as damaging some hotel buildings.

🟥Thonese village in Naung Cho Township have been captured, and the military troops are marching towards Hohko village

The military junta has begun sealing off the homes of the revolutionaries in Naung Cho after it captured the town of Naung Cho in northern Shan State.

The military junta launched an offensive in Naung Cho, which it lost during Operation 1027, in the early months of 2025, using two main lines from Pyin Oo Lwin and Taung Kham villages, and finally recaptured it in July.

After retaking Naung Cho, the military has begun to put its administrative mechanisms into effect, and is now beginning to seal off the homes of the revolutionaries in the town, and dozens of houses have now been sealed off.

“It has been closed three days ago, they closed the homes of the revolutionary community, there must be dozens of people’s homes (upper) in the city,”

a local revolutionary source in Naung Cho told BBM. In addition, the military junta columns from Pyin Oo Lwin have also attacked and captured Ummathee and Ummakhar villages, as well as the village of Thonese.

The revolutionary source added that the army is continuing to march towards Hohko village on the Mogok road through Thonese village, and there are clashes with the revolutionary forces.

“We have crossed Thonese from the beginning, and from there, after crossing the upper Kyu In, we will reach Hohko village. The situation in Hohko is not bad either,”

the revolutionary source told BBM. It is also reported that Hohko village is a very strategic village because it is possible to reach Mogok, Kyaukme, Moe Meik, Madaya, and Thabeik Kyin towns through this village on the Pyin Oo Lwin-Mogok road.

According to a press release from Area71 Local People Defense Force Monywa, a mine was fired on an armored personnel carrier and armored personnel carrier convoy from the Northwestern Military Command based in Monywa, Sagaing Region.

🟥In the battle lines in Mahlaing Township, the registration and household lists of local people are also being checked

The military junta is requesting information from relevant departments on education and health CDM workers in Mahlaing Township to search and arrest them.

The military junta’s 1,000-strong force, which includes Battalion 99, Battalion 77 and militia, has been conducting military operations in villages in Mahlaing Township since the second week of July.

In addition, on July 26, the military junta’s troops in the city collected the lists of education and health CDM workers from relevant departments and distributed them to the troops conducting military operations.

“The CDM has taken the health and education personnel from Mahlaing Township. And we know from watermelons(insiders) that they have been ordered to arrest them if they are found in the battle line,”

a military source on the ground told BBM. It is reported that the military junta ordered to have deployed a troop of around 1,000 in Aung Thar village near the Mahlaing-Wundwin border, and is also deploying a military troop in Mahlaing town and is conducting military operations in nearby villages.

The military junta stationed in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region, intentionally bombed a monastery in Myet-Shu village, killing 6 people, including 4 children.

A 200-strong military junta column that matched from the bridge is stationed in Myet-Shu village, Natogyi Township. Yesterday, on the evening of July 26, 2019, a drone bomb was dropped on a monastery and pagoda in Myet-Shu village, where displaced people live, killing 4 children and 2 women, injuring 6 others, and damaging the pagoda buildings.

After the military junta ordered more than a troop of 4000 soldiers to be deployed in townships in Sagaing, Mandalay, and Magway regions at the end of July before the December elections, ground troops have been continuously deployed in Mahlaing, Natogyi, Myingyan, and Nyaung-U townships in Mandalay Region, targeting civilians, firing artillery shells, and burning villages.

🟥Villages entering the military junta are asked to register and vote

The military junta, which is led by the 99th and 77th Battalions, is advancing into Mahlaing Township near Meiktila, Mandalay Region, according to local military sources.

Since the second week of July 2025, the military junta has been marching into Mahlaing Township, where the revolutionary forces are in control, with a force of about 1,000 soldiers, and is said to be stationed mainly in Aung Thar Village, on the border of Mahlaing Town and Wundwin Township.

The military junta is deploying its troops from Aung Thar Village to nearby areas controlled by the revolutionary forces, resulting in clashes with local revolutionary forces.

“A force of about 1,000 soldiers is stationed in Aung Thar village on the border. The army is spreading out and forming three separate lines. There are also clashes with local forces,”

said Comrade Pauk Sa of the No. 2 Battalion in Meiktila District to BBM. The military junta’s army is marching on Shwe Paw Kyun village, Let Swayt village, Nyaung Oke village, Pauk Khway Taw village and other nearby villages in Mahlaing Township. Some villagers from Let Swayt village were killed and some public houses were burned down due to indiscriminate firing with small arms and artillery shells.

In addition, the military junta’s army has been conducting raids on the villages they have entered, demanding that they register and register their households and vote in the elections. The comrade added,

“I think it’s mainly for the election.I heard from the people that when the military column entered, they called all the people in the village and asked them to register and show their household names, just like in a census, and then they told them to vote in the election.”

Because of the military junta’s column in Mahlaing Township, the revolutionary forces had to temporarily close some gates that were open for security reasons, and they are also conducting raids and raids on the column in the vicinity.

🟥Kyaukphyu and Sittwe townships have also been reinforced with hundreds of Rohingya conscripts

The military junta launched an offensive against AA outposts near the Danyawaddy Naval Headquarters in Kyaukphyu Township, Rakhine State, on July 23, according to AA military sources.

The Arakan Army AA has captured and controlled the villages of U Kin, Saing Chan, Kyet Taw Pyin, Simaw and Kyat Tein along Thit Pote Taung Road near the Danyawaddy Naval Headquarters, and the outposts near those villages, and has been launching an offensive in recent days to regain control of the military junta, according to AA military sources in Kyaukphyu Township.

“The military junta is said to be marching along Thit Pote Taung road from the Danyawaddy Navy Headquarters, and fighting is ongoing on both sides. They are attacking to regain control of the areas captured by the AA,”

the military source added. A military source close to the AA in Kyaukphyu Township said that the military junta forces have been continuously attacking, relying mainly on artillery support from Danyawaddy Navy Headquarters, high-tech drones made in China, and airstrikes.

The military junta forces have been advancing along Thit Pote Taung road in Kyaukphyu Township, and clashes have broken out with the AA, with both sides losing ground, the source added.

“The fighting has been going on for about two days. The military junta has been firing from the air, including drones, and the navy. The fighting on the ground is also intense, so there are losses on both sides,”

the military source said. The military junta has expanded its presence in the Danyawaddy naval headquarters by expanding at least (10) outposts and adding more troops to prevent the AA from penetrating the Danyawaddy naval headquarters, more than 1 mile away from the navy.

On July 22, about (10) patrol vessels were seen operating along Thanzit River in Kyaukpyu town, and artillery shells were also being fired at some villages that had fled to escape the war.

The AA has been attacking the Kyaukpyu township from three fronts since February 20.

It is targeting outposts near Danyawaddy naval headquarters near Thit Pote Taung village, the 32nd Police Battalion on Doe Tan Mountain, and the outposts near the Natural Gas Receiving and Storage (OGT) facility near Malakyun village.

Kyaukphyu is home to the Danyawaddy Naval Headquarters, Battalion 34, Marine Corps Battalion 542, Marine Corps Battalion 543, Police Battalion No. 32, Taung Maw Gyi Naval Base, and Ohn Kyun Naval Branch, and is also being reinforced by the military junta’s civilian military personnel and hundreds of Rohingya soldiers conscripted from Kyaukphyu and Sittwe townships.

In addition, after the fighting, the revolutionary forces continued to clear the area and seized (5) dead bodies of the military junta, (2) G-3 guns, (1) MA-2 gun, (3) G-3 ammunition boxes, (100) 5.56 rounds, and (100) G-3 rounds.

“After the battle, when we were clearing the area, we found five dead bodies, all of them badly burned. We also seized three guns and some other equipment,”

he added. The military junta is reportedly deploying troops under the 99th and 77th Divisions to areas where the revolutionary forces are strong in Mahlaing Township, near Meiktila District.
