🟥At least 12 people, including women and children, were killed and many others injured
The military junta dropped two more bombs on a residential area in western Mogok township,where Mogok Local People’s Defence Force was previously located, killing at least 12 people, including women and children, and causing extensive damage, according to a local resident told BBM.
On August 2, at around 8:22 a.m., the military junta dropped two 500-pound bombs on a clothing store next to U Shwe Maung’s Shop on main road, Gaungba Kwet Thit, west of Mogok, killing at least 12 people, including women and children, and injuring many more.
“There have been a lot of planes flying around on these days. They came in around 8:30 this morning, they dropped two 500-pound bombs,and then there is all broken into pieces,”
a local source told BBM. On the night of July 13, the military junta dropped 500-pound bombs on Panma Hteik village, east of Mogok, injuring 6 locals and damaging 7 homes.
In addition, on the evening of July 26, the military junta dropped two 250-pound bombs on Golden Butterfly Hotel, east of Mogok, killing 1 local man and injuring three others, as well as damaging some hotel buildings.
“These guys are very wicked and inhumane. If such a cruel person was to rule the country, the country would devastate,”
a local told BBM. On July 29, the planes bombed three times on the village three days ago without causing any casualties, killing 4 locals and injuring 13 others.
