Four people in Myingyan Township were killed when the military junta soldiers and their subordinates stationed in Lelthit village in Myingyan Township, Mandalay Region, opened fire with heavy weapons without a fight.
On August 3, 2025 , the Pyu Saw Htee indiscriminate heavy weapon fire hit a large village, killing a grandmother and her three grandchildren and injuring others, according to the Myingyan Township Community Action Committee.
“The Myingyan-based 15th Infantry Regiment fired from a column stationed in Lelthit village. When it was fired southeast, it fell on Ywagyi village, 5 miles away, on the border of Natogyi-Myingyan area. It exploded on a house in the village, killing four members of a family inside the house. Four people died in one house. There were also other minor injuries,”
said a local resident near the scene of the incident. In addition, the Pyu Saw Htee column that fired this time is stationed in Lelthit village in Myingyan Township and is firing indiscriminately, according to local defense groups.
“The column that fired this time is the one that was stationed in Lelthit village on July 31. It has been stationed in Lelthit village for 3 days. People from nearby villages are also fleeing the fighting,”
said a local people defense force member. The terrorist military junta is blocking the main communication routes around Myingyan town, including the Myingyan-Nyaung U road.The local defense force added that the terrorist military junta has been trying to clear the areas along the Myingyan-Natogyi road, Myingyan-Myotha road, and Myingyan-Simi Khon Road in recent days, but has not been able to march further from the town.
The terrorist military junta and its subordinate Pyu Saw Htee have been conducting military operations in the villages east of Myinchan town, forcing more than 5,000 people from the villages of Thitpinshey, Nathtar, Pyaw Bwe, San Pya, Khin Ma Kan, and Mrauk Kone to flee the war.
