A 200-strong military junta and revolutionary forces clashed in Pwint Phyu Township, Magway Division, during which more than 150 members of the military junta were killed and wounded during the 3-day clash, local sources told BBM.

From September 4 to 6, clashes broke out in the areas of Nyaungpin Waing, Innkone, Kani, and Made, in Pwint Phyu Township, resulting in more than 150 members of the military junta being killed, many injured, and others escaping, according to local sources.

β€œYesterday (September 5) there was a day-long battle. Many soldiers died. Only a few of them fled. There are also those who are hiding. There are no more than 200 of them left. They can’t even pick up the bodies,”

the local said. On the first day of the three-day battle, they advanced from the north to the south of Mone River. A mine was planted south of Mone River, killing a group of military junta soldiers and burning down the village.

The next day, a mine was planted between Kani and Innkone villages, killing another 30 military junta soldiers, and about 50 died in yesterday’s battle, the local said.

Currently, the MMRC is mostly fighting with the militia, and there is no sign of a fight.

β€œThese guys have no strategy now. They just enter the village and force the villagers to do porter work, step on mines, and take their belongings. There are also some who fled before the fighting last night,”

a local resident added. The military junta said that the villages had been targeted in the past, but this time it was worse.

The attack was carried out by the 7th Minbu Battalion, 4th Battalion, the People’s Defense Force Pwint Phyu and allied forces.
