Richard π₯ Military junta and Shan Ni Army fled for their lives
On September 20, the revolutionary forces were able to completely capture Bamauk Town this evening.
The battle for Bamauk Town began on September 15 and was finally captured on September 20.
“Bamauk Town is under control of the KIA-PDF joint forces. The Shan Ni Army has fled without fighting,”
a military source in the Bamauk region said. The military junta and Shan Ni Army used innocent civilians as human shields, used heavy artillery, and carried out excessive airstrikes to defend Bamauk Town, but in the end, they abandoned the town and fled.
In the initial days of the offensive on Bamauk, the revolutionary forces captured the outposts of the military junta and the Shan Ni Army in the east of Bham Mauk and pressed forward to attack the city.
As the revolutionary forces surrounded and attacked Bamauk, the terrorist military junta and the Shan Ni Army fled their main stronghold, the University for the Development of the National Races (Natala).
Regarding the current situation, “The city has been taken. The enemy bodies and weapons are still being cleared. There are enemy (Shan Ni) camps near the city, so we will continue to clear them. We will continue to update about this,” a Kadu defense comrade told BBM.
The battle for Bamauk was fought jointly by the PDF battalions under the NUG, the Kachin Independence Army (KIA) in Katha district, and the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). The city was completely captured on the 6th day after the battle began.
The revolutionary forces have also seized the adjacent towns of Pinlelbu, Indaw and Htigyaing.
The military junta mainly used its subordinate Shan Ni Army (SNA) to defend Bamauk town. After fleeing from the Bamauk battle, there was a lot of criticism and accusations against the Shan Ni Army (SNA) among supporters of the military junta.
