Richard 10 people, including a child, were killed and three others were injured
The military junta’s airstrikes on the village of Manhuong in Mong Lon Township, northern Shan State, killed ten people, including a child, and injured three others, the PSLF/TNLA said.
Yesterday, at about 12:30 p.m., the military junta dropped two more 250-pound bombs on the village of Manhuong, killing U Aik San Kyar (37), U San Pwint (35), U Sai Aung Sa (29), U Aik Htet (27), Daw Ohn Khin (45), Daw Hla Sein (25), Daw Aye May (39), Daw Khin Pa (29), Daw Aye Teik (22), and Mg Aik Oo (2), were killed, while three civilians were injured and six houses were damaged.
“I thought the military junta group had hit Mogok last night. It flew very low. It didn’t hit Mogok, but it went around Mong Lon. Mogok is only 21 miles away from Mong Lon. It only takes a little over an hour by motorbike,” a Mogok resident told BBM.
The military junta regained full control of Kyaukme on October 1 and has now regained two of the 12 towns in northern Shan that were controlled by the revolutionary forces.
“Now that they have taken the district capital, Kyaukme, they (the military junta troops) will attack the remaining 10 towns. Among them, Mogok is their most important target. The TNLA and the revolutionary forces currently hold 10 towns,” a revolutionary comrade told BBM.
Similarly, on October 6 at 7:33 am, the military junta deliberately targeted the people at the Pubba Monastery House in Ward (8) of Namtu Township with a jet fighter and a 500-pound bomb.
The bomb explosion reportedly destroyed the Pubba Monastery House in Namtu Township.
Therefore, the public needs to be alert at all times to avoid the bombings of the military junta and to follow air defense measures to protect themselves from air attacks.
The military junta troops are not only targeting the areas of Ta’ang National Liberation Army but also the areas of ethnic armed groups and People’s Defense Forces, where war crimes are being committed against innocent civilians, whether by manpower, heavy weapons, drones, or airstrikes.
