As the military junta bombed Htei Khe village in Dawei Township and Taku Village in Tanintharyi Township in the same day,a total of 10 people, including children, were injured in Tanintharyi Region, according to the revolutionary forces.

At around 8 am on October 10, Htei Khee village on the Thai-Myanmar border was bombed twice by a FTC-2000G jet fighter and fired with machine guns.

The same jet fighter bombed Taku Village in Tanintharyi Township again at 9 am, according to a revolutionary comrade.

“The same plane that came and bombed Htee Khee ,then flew towards Taku. It was not just bombing, it was also machine gun fire,” he said.

He added that while there were no casualties in Htee Khee village, about 10 civilians, including a child and two women, were injured in Taku village in Tanintharyi township.

Some of the injured are said to be in critical condition.

“The Taku fire was fired at the fire station, there were no people there, the only people hit were people living nearby and people walking around,” a Tanintharyi resident who already knows the incident said.

The airstrikes damaged many buildings in both townships and forced civilians to flee, said Pado Eh Na, secretary of the KNU Myeik-Dawei District.

“The villagers of Htee Khe have not yet returned. They are still hiding in the Thai side. They are afraid of them (the military junta). It is not because of the battle,” he said.

He added that Thai authorities have provided necessary assistance to displaced people on the border.

On October 8, the military junta regime bombed Htee Khee village with Y-12 fighter jets, destroying workshops and residential buildings, but causing no civilian casualties, the KNU reported.
