🟥 Many casualties may cause on military junta side

The revolutionary forces ambushed the armored vehicles of 100-strong military junta convoy to deliver rations on the Monywa-Kyaukka Road in Monywa Township, Sagaing Region, about 3 days in advance, causing casualties on the military junta side, according to a statement from the Monywa Township People’s Defense Organization.

On October 13, the revolutionary forces ambushed the military junta’s convoy along the Monywa-Kyaukka Road, and on October 14, the Northwestern Military Command provided 2 armored vehicles to Eco.

Then, at around 7:30 am on October 15, the military junta troops stationed at the Shweguni Pagoda in Kyaukka via Eco were attacked by the revolutionary forces, who had been waiting in ambush for three days, as they were about to enter the military junta’s convoy to deliver rations, a Monywa Township People’s Defense Force official told BBM.

“The both sides were close to clash eachother. But the plants are growing too much during the rainy season, so we couldn’t see them for sure. We could only see them falling,”a Monywa Township People’s Defense Force official told BBM.

The 100-strong military junta column also returned fire, so the battle raged for almost an hour.

He added that there may be many casualties on military junta side, as a large amount of blood from the military junta’s convy was seen on the road after the battle.

“They were over 100 strong, so they fired back.They fired back with shrapnel. For them, it was like being surrounded. We were in contact for about an hour,” he added.

The attack was carried out by the Monywa Township People Defense Force, Monywa District People Defense Force Special Attack Group-Danger Force, Monywa Township People Defense Force Cantonment No.1,2,3,4, Monywa Township, Monywa Township
People Security Force Special Attack Group-Tribal Force, Monywa Township
People Defense Force Attack Group-Monywa Special Deik Deik Kye, Taw Kywe Gyi Guerrilla Group, Black Falcon ,LDF and local People Defense Forces
cooperated and were able to retreat without any casualties.
