A military junta and Ye Blu Battalion clashed in Kyaung village,Ye Township, Mon State and the military suffered casualties, according to the Ye Blu Battalion leader.

Yesterday, November 10, at around 2:00 PM, when they went to clear the area near Kyaung village in the area of Yae Sin Kone, which is strategically important, we fired RPGs at the 591th Infantry Battalion nearby because there were no military junta troops there.

the military junta troops entered the area where the revolutionary force was, and the two sides fought for almost half an hour.

“When we cleared the military junta outpost in Yae Kan Kone, the outpost was not there. Looking from the top of Yae Kan Kone, there was 591 Infantry Battalion below. When we fired RPGs at them, they came out and started to fight,” he said.

He added that the revolutionary battalion was able to withdraw unharmed during the clash, while the military junta suffered casualties, but the exact number could not be confirmed.

In addition, the RPG fired by the Ye Blu battalion exploded in the officer’s quarters, causing damage.

A person assisting the displaced persons also said that the military junta continuously fired heavy weapons during and after the battle.

“The villagers around there are normal people. If there is battle, they run away, if there is heavy weapons, they run away and then come back because they have their own farms in the village. It is more difficult for them to go elsewhere. Sometimes they are captured if they move in the military line.”

For election and territorial security reasons, the military junta has deployed thousands of troops throughout Ye Township, and in addition to being intercepted by the revolutionary forces, there are frequent battles.

The revolutionary forces said that the military junta soldiers and ammunition needed for these battles are being transported through the Panda Port in Zee Phyu Thaung Village, Ye Township.
