Military junta members are fleeing from the remaining bases of Nat Yae Kan Air Defense Base on the Ann-Padan road in Magway Division, according to the revolutionary forces.

The Arakan Army and its allies captured about half of the Nat Yae Kan Air Defense Base last October and are continuing their offensive to capture all the remaining bases.

The Arakan Army and its allies have blocked all land routes to Nat Yae Kan Air Defense Base, and the remaining base at Air Defense Base is now only around a 300-strong force, a revolutionary force member from Ngape Township told BBM.

“The remaining base at Nat Yae Kan strategic hill is no longer able to be replenished by the military junta or to send supplies. All routes from the Padan side have been cut off by the revolutionary forces. They will only be able to use one airfield. Furthermore, military junta soldiers are fleeing from that base. It happens almost every day. When they are seen fleeing, the revolutionary forces chase them and arrest them,” he said.

Nat Yae Kan strategic hill on the Ann-Padan road is located at an altitude of over 5,000 feet, and the military junta has reinforced more than 1,000 troops at that strategic hill to penetrate into Rakhine State.

Currently, about half of Nat Yae Kan strategic hill is occupied and controlled by the AA and allied forces, and the military junta soldiers, including the recruits, has only around 300 troops at that strategic hill due to the AA and allied forces joining revolutionary forces and fleeing.

The AA announced on November 11 that it had captured more than 70 military junta members who fled from four areas where the military junta and the AA were fighting fiercely at Nat Yae Kan strategic hill, Layla mountain, Defense Industry (16), and the Rakhine-Irrawaddy border.

The military junta is also conducting reconnaissance and surveillance of the surrounding areas with Y-12 bombers and jet fighters to prevent their remaining forces from being attacked. It is also said that they are also bombing with drones and jet fighters.

“The Y-12 planes are hovering around the strategic hill all day long, sometimes with jet fighters. The drones are being dropped on other side, the revolutionary forces are being dropped on other side, and they are being dropped on each other,” a military source close to the AA told BBM.

The military junta is fiercely defending the Nat Yae Kan strategic hill, but it could fall to the AA and coalition forces before the end of the year, military observers told BBM.

The military junta is expanding its posts near the Pyinwa checkpoint and Thayar Kone village, 6 miles from the defense industry-14, after losing about half of the Nat Yae Kan strategic hill to the AA and coalition forces.

The Padan cantonant, where the AA and coalition forces are attacking, is located at the 905th Artillery Operations Command, the 375th Artillery Battalion, and the 409th Artillery Battalion, while the defense industry-14 is located in Pwint Phyu Township, Magway Division.
