A woman died on the spot after being hit by two drunk Pyu Saw members in Tamu, Sagaing Region, a local told BBM.
The incident took place on February 8 on Asia Road near Naga Church in Tamu township.
A 32-year-old woman was riding her motorcycle with a bunch of mangoes when two drunk Pyu Saw members rode a motorcycle under control loss and hit her from behind.
“The two drunk Pyu Saw members, who are heroin addicts, lost control and hit the woman on the motorcycle. The woman died on the spot,” a local who knows the incident told BBM.
One of the two members of the Pyu Saw Htee who committed the crime was detained at the city police station after the accident, but it is not known whether any effective action has been taken against him.
“I heard that a Pyu Saw Htee who committed crime was detained at the police station. We don’t know what action will be taken against him. There has been no announcement about the action yet,” another Tamu resident told BBM.
In Tamu, the military council and Pyu Saw Htee members are ing motorcycles and vehicles recklessly under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The junta authorities have not taken any action against the crimes they have committed, causing fear among the public.
