More than 3 civilians were killed and over 30 injured in an airstrike by the military junta in Thlangpanga village, Matupi Township, Chin State, according to local residents.

At 12:30 and 12:32 on February 8, a military junta jet fighter that took off from Mandalay’s Tada-U Airport dropped two bombs directly into Thlangpanga village.

The attack targeted civilians in the village, which was not occupied by any armed groups or fighting.

“At present, we know that at least 3 civilians have been killed and over 30 injured. We are still conducting rescue operations, but we do not know the details,” a local resident of Matupi Township told BBM.

In addition, a truck in the area was hit by the bomb and completely burned to ashes, and some houses were also damaged.

After the bombing of Thlangpanga village, the military council also bombed the area where the 140th Battalion was located in Matupi town at least 4 times in a row from the air.
