🟥More airstrikes after 22 others injured in the attacks

Around eight soldiers were killed and another 22 were injured in drone strikes by revolutionary forces in the military council’s Minletpan and Hpalu areas south of Myawaddy, according to local military sources.

The junta soldiers from the 22nd Regiment Division are advancing in these areas to launch ground attacks on Minletpan and Hpalu areas in these days.

A military source confirmed to BBM that the KNLA-led revolutionary forces not only carried out ground attacks but also carried out drone attacks on the military council troops attempting to launch a ground offensive, resulting in the deaths of eight and injuries to 22 others.

“These guys are penetrating from the western ridge, and they are getting killed in the communication trenches by the drone attacks, and the kamikaze attacks,” he said.

It was because of this that the military junta columns temporarily stopped advancing towards Minletpan and Hpalu.

Then, on February 18, the military junta, which has suffered many casualties, began bombing Hpalu from the air.

The source added that since the airstrikes were carried out, the ground military junta columns have been advancing further, so the fighting is still ongoing.

“Yes, they are bombing Hpalu village. These guys are bombing the front line before attack. Yesterday, about 22 people were injured and 8 people were killed. That’s why they are bombing at first and then they are targeting the front line. The fighting is just normal in these areas.”

Not only in the Minletpan and Hpalu areas, but also in the area of Wawlay
where the military council is based, there are also ongoing clashes between the military junta and the revolutionary forces.
