Locals said that 4 civilians were injured and several houses were damaged in simultaneous airstrikes by military council in Hakha (the capital city of Chin State) and Falam township.

The military council bombed Zokhua and Cinkhua villages in Hakha township between 1 and 2 am today, February 19, without any fighting.

“They bombed Zokhua village first and then Cinkhua village. In Cinkhua village, 3 civilians were injured and houses were damaged. In Zokhua village, 2 houses were damaged. There was no fighting in the villages that were bombed,” a local resident of Hakha township told BBM.

Similarly, at around 1:30 am today, in Falam township, the military council dropped at least eight bombs on Lumbang village by a Y-12, injuring a woman.

“A woman was seriously injured, there was a lot of damage to houses, but the exact number of damages is not yet known,” a local resident in Falam Township told BBM.

Locals in the villages that were bombed are currently fleeing for safety, fearing further airstrikes by the military council.

The military council has been conducting airstrikes in the middle of the night, targeting villages inhabited by civilians, without any fighting on the ground.
