A military source told BBM that the Chinland Council (CC) joint forces attacked a military council camp in Falam Township, Chin State, killing two military council members and injuring one.

The Chinland (CC) joint forces attacked military council camps in Khun Li and Song Haran villages in Falam Township on the morning of February 21.

“Yesterday, they simultaneously attacked the camps in Khuangli and Somharam
villages. The fighting lasted almost a day,” a CC military source told BBM.

Two military council members were killed in the fighting, one was captured, and a large amount of weapons and ammunition were seized.

“After the battle, we found two bodies of the military council. One was captured alive. We also seized various weapons and ammunition. The battle lasted about a day,” a CC military source told BBM.

As of noon today, February 22, the Chin Defense Joint Forces and the military council are still fighting in Khuangli and Sonharam villages.

The military council’s offensive column from Kalay to retake Falam town has stationed in Khuangli and Somaram villages, Falam township.

On February 20, Chin National Day, the military council’s Y-12 aircraft bombed villages between Falam and Hakha with more than 50 bombs, causing many casualties and damage to homes.
