Eight people, including the children’s mother, were seriously injured

Two children were killed and eight others, including their mother, were injured when the military air force dropped 250-pound bombs on Panmatheik village, east of Mogok Township, Mandalay Region, according to local sources.

On July 9, 2025 (yesterday), at around 8:00 PM, a jet fighter from the Military Junta’s Tada-U Air Force flew low over the eastern part of Mogok and dropped bombs.

“It came down low in the eastern part of the city and fell all at once. Two 10-year-old boys were killed instantly,”

a Mogok resident told BBM. The mother of the two children who died in the bombing last night also suffered serious eye injuries and has not yet regained consciousness.

Additionally, eight people, including the children’s mother, were injured in the incident, and about (10) houses were completely destroyed.

“The mother of the deceased children was hit in one eye and has not regained consciousness yet. She has not been registered as dead yet. She is still alive, but she is still unconscious. About 10 houses are so damaged that these are uninhabitable,”

the local resident told BBM. The military junta reportedly carried out airstrikes on Mogok town and the surrounding areas of Mawchi and Phasaung in Karenni State yesterday evening, causing casualties.
