Revolutionary forces capture Ukrit Hta camp near Thai border

🟥Martial junta’s soldiers inside the camp flee to the Thai side

The KNLA and the revolutionary alliance forces captured the Ukrit Hta camp where the military junta’s council is based near the Thai-Myanmar border near Myawaddy, Karen State, this afternoon, according to local military sources.

The KNLA and revolutionary forces had previously attacked Ukrit Hta camp in 2022 and had only captured parts of the camp that time but this time they had captured the entire camp.

“Yes, Ukrit Hta has been captured, the rest will be announced”

a soldier on the ground told BBM. The Ukrit Hta camp was attacked by the revolutionary forces in June 2025, and was finally captured by the afternoon of July 12, despite the military junta’s heavy use of airstrikes. 

In addition, during the fighting, a large number of junta’s soldiers fled into Thailand, and it is initially reported that the revolutionary forces are continuing to clear the area.
