A warship caught fire, may result in many casualties on the ground
The Chindwin Spring Revolutionary Attack Force (CSRAF) reported that the Chindwin Spring Revolutionary Attack Force (CSRAF) intercepted and attacked a naval group of 23 warships, arrived to transport military supplies to their subordinate soldiers and Pyu Saw Htee and to make some troop changes in Kani and Minkin Townships, Pyu villages.
After receiving news that the military junta’s naval group had delivered weapons and supplies to military camps in Kani Township, they were moving up the Chindwin River to deliver weapons and supplies to military camps in Minkin Township. Under the leadership of the CSRAF, the Yinmabin District No. (17) Battalion B21, Yinmabin District No. 22 Battalion KLG, and local PDF forces joined forces and reserved at 6 am on July 16, and the fighting began at around 4 pm.
During the battle, the last warship in the group was hit by gunfire from the revolutionary forces, and some of the soldiers may have been killed.
“We waited for news from 6 am on July 16. At around 3:30 or 4 pm, the Minkin arrived at the Kani border and the fighting started. We engaged in a firefight. Finally, we saw a warship hit by a cannon, then it was engulfed in smoke and on fire,”
CSRAF commander Ko Ae Gyi told BBM. The military is also reportedly conducting reconnaissance flights along the Chindwin River as warships sail along the route.
In addition, the CSRAF leader told that some unsuspecting villages and places along the Chindwin River were bombed with paramotors, Y-12s, and jet fighters before the ship arrived, and some local people were injured or killed as a result of these actions.
“Paramotors, Y-12s, and jet fighters were constantly patrolling the ship’s route, and in some places, if they were suspicious, they would drop bombs before the ship arrived.”
The revolutionary forces claimed that the military vessel group is capable of traveling not only to the Kani-Min Kin areas but also to the upper Homalin area and carrying out military camp shifts in the area.
