မင်းသော် In order to get some food and other supplies for the military junta soldiers who have arrived in Thinkan Nyinaung town, Karen State,the Myawaddy administrators are asking for some supplies from military junta supporters in the town.
Since last September (6), the military junta Aung Zeya column that came from Kawkareik and the column that came from the No. 275th Myawaddy Infantry Battalion have caused the revolutionary forces to retreat from Thinkan Nyinaung town as well as the military junta to retake the positions that had lost.
After the military junta took over the town of Thinkan Nyinaung, some administrators in Myawaddy town began calling the military junta supporters on September 7th to ask them to provide food and other necessities for the military junta soldiers in Thinkan Nyinaung, a local resident told BBM.
“The neighborhood office called the houses that supported the military junta and asked them to send food and donate as much food as they could, because the military junta column was in Thinkan Nyinaung,”
a local confirmed to BBM. In addition, when requesting food and other necessities for the military junta soldiers, the neighborhood administrators only contacted some military junta supporters.
The local added that since there are many organizations in Myawaddy town, the neighborhood administrations may not dare to make official announcements in the neighborhood and make requests.
“They didn’t dare to make an official announcement and ask for it. Myawaddy is a place where they know each other’s military junta supporters. They just make phone calls and ask for it. I don’t know if they really want to give it or if it’s a trick from the neighborhood. They really ask for it,”
the local added. The military junta began attacking Myawaddy including Thinkan Nyinaung, which had been under the control of the revolutionary forces since April 2024, and only arrived in August 2025.
