🟥The Military junta sent 4 armored vehicles to Mogok through Mogok-Pyin Oo Lwin road
The military junta is sending 200 reinforcements from Mandalay Palace camp to Thabeikkyin township and Singu township, where battle is ongoing between the Mandalay PDF and the military junta, according to a military source.
The military junta re-attacked Thabeikkyin township and Singu township, which were captured by the revolutionary forces during Operation 1027, and the revolutionary forces lost Thabeikkyin and Singu townships last July, and they also had to abandon important battlefronts in Singu.
To retake Thabeikkyin, the military junta entered the river with a large force and ships, and also prepared forces 7 miles from the city and continued to attack the surrounding areas.
Similarly, the military junta entered the Singu area through Madaya Township, and clashes with the revolutionary forces, including the Mandalay PDF, have broke out, and are now within 5 miles of the city.
A military source told BBM that the military junta is sending a total of (200) troops from the 579th Infantry Division based in Mong Khoke and battalion based in Mong Hpyak in eastern Shan State to the Singu areas, where clashes with the revolutionary forces are taking place and where they are trying to gain control of the area.
“The troops from the Shan State Front, Mong Khoke, and Mong Hpyak, are being gathered in the Mandalay Palace and are being sent to Thabeikkyin and Singu through there. The force is about 200, most of them are military recruits.”
Similarly, the military junta has also sent reinforcements to Mogok, which is connected to Thabeikkyin and Singu areas and is currently undergoing battle, through Pyin Oo Lwin.
On December 15, the military junta entered Mogok with four armored vehicles and a large number of troops and weapons through the Pyin Oo Lwin-Mogok route and stationed in the town, according to a local resident of Mogok.
“Yesterday, four vehicles entered here (Mogok), probably with armored vehicles, and they came from the Pyin Oo Lwin-Mogok road, because that is the only route that the military junta can use,” the local said.
Although the military junta has reinforced Mogok, locals said that since December 13, when the revolutionary forces attacked the Mogok strategic hill with drones, there has been a slight lull in the battle in Mogok.
