In Shwebo Township, Sagaing Region, the revolutionary forces attacked the junta troops stealing two rice harvesters from villagers, killing four junta members, according to spokesman of Shwebo Township People’s Defence Force.
On December 11, at around 4 pm, local farmers from Myaik village and Kinbya village in Shwebo Township were harvesting rice when Pyu Saw Htee and junta troops ,from the neighboring Myin Chin (Pyu) and Zee Kone Lay (Pyu) villages, were attacked while stealing two rice harvesters.
“They were watching villagers and robbing the harvesters as they were harvesting their fields so we attacked the junta. Four junta members were killed in a spot,” he said.
Due to this attack, the military junta was able to take away only one of the (2) rice harvesters belonging to the people, while the remaining (1) rice harvester and (1) sidecar were able to retake them.
It was reported that the items were returned to the local people who owned them.
The clash lasted for about 1 hour and the defense comrades were able to withdraw without any casualties.
The clash was carried out by Shwebo Township People’s Defence Force (NUG).
