A civilian and six cows belonging to the civilians were killed and several houses and shops were damaged in an airstrike by the junta in Kyaukkyi Township, Bago Region.

At 8 pm on December 10, the military’s Taungoo-based airstrikes dropped a 500-pound bomb on Leinpin village, Kyaukkyi Township.

A 46-year-old man named Tee Pha Haw from Leinpin village died of head and stomach injuries in the attack, while six cows, five houses and shops, and godowns and electrical goods in the village were damaged, according to local sources.

“On the 10th, a 500-pound bomb killed Tee Pha Haw, and six more cows, houses, and godowns were also damaged.”

The military junta has carried out similar airstrikes on Mrauk-U township and Kyaukphyu township in Rakhine State in recent days, and many people, including children as young as one month old, have been killed in these attacks.
