AAPP told BBM that the military junta has been holding talks with public leader Aung San Suu Kyi, but has not released her because they have not been able to make any agreement. All the political prisoners, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, President U Win Myint, and others, are standing with the Spring Revolution.
The Assistance Association of Political Prisoners (AAPP) made this statement when BBM interviewed political prisoners, including the imprisonment of public leader Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint.
“If they need us, they will release our leaders and play the political tricks , but as far as we know, they are just adjusting, and we are hearing reports that they always try to make an appointment and negotiate with her. They have not released her yet because Daw Aung San Suu Kyi has not yet given the conditions they want, to the extent they want,”
AAPP told BBM. AAPP continued to say that if Aung San Suu Kyi were to be released through negotiation by the military junta, the revolution could backfire and weaken the revolution, and problems could arise between the revolutionary forces themselves.
“They haven’t released her yet because Aung San Suu Kyi’s side won’t accept anything, as they want.If they have released , they will turn our revolution upside down.Certainly, if Daw Aung San Suu Kyi negotiates with them, our revolution might be somewhat weakened.The problems can arise between those who reject and those who accept.We trust our leader.We believe that our leaders have not yet accepted any of the issues negotiated by the military regime, which is why they have not released us yet,”
AAPP said. AAPP pointed out that all political prisoners currently in prison, including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and President U Win Myint, are united in the Spring Revolution, and that,while in prison, is standing with the Spring Revolution and fighting for the Spring Revolution.
