Military junta dropped bombs on ward 2 areas in Kyaukme Township again

The military junta bombed ward 2 areas in Kyaukme Township, northern Shan State, again at around 1:30 p.m. on September 20, according to a statement from the local residents and the PSLF/TNLA News and Information Department.

“The bombing was in ward 2, but it was on the outskirts of the town. It was in the agricultural mechanized farmland of Namtong, between Namtong and Yankin, where there are no houses,”

a local man said. He said that the jet fighter arrived at around 1:30 p.m. on September 20 and dropped bombs.

The military junta’s ground forces are advancing with drones and clearing the way, and have reached the Union Road on the Goke Dwin side, and before entering the town, there are still TNLA citadels in three villages along the road and two villages inland.

“When they bomb with aircraft, only the people are affected. No armed group will rebuild,”

a local source said. The fighting between the two sides continues to be intense east of Nar Aik
Hkant, and on the afternoon of September 19, a monastery in Loi An village was hit by a drone attack, causing damage, he said.

Some houses of displaced people in villages, including Kyaukme town, where there are no guards, are being broken into and looted.

The military junta’s propaganda on social media also claimed that the airstrikes were carried out on Nyein Chan Yay Kone.

On September 9, the military junta troops attacked Loi Hkaw village, Nam Hu Taung Group, Kyaukme Township, with three 250-pound bombs and two drone bombs.
