The Revolutionary Forces ambushed and killed 3 military junta soldiers on the Monywa-Mandalay road, according to the Lightning Division, No. 12 Battalion, Company 3, Monywa District.

At around 3:00 PM on August 1, 2025, the military junta soldiers stationed in Gway Pin Taw, Chaung U Township, left in a light truck and a small light trunk, while the military junta soldiers from Nat Yae Kan camp also left in a six-wheeled vehicle with full military junta force to patrol and clear mines on the Monywa-Mandalay road.

The military junta soldiers were able to clear 3 points (30 mines) out of 10 mines planted by the revolutionary forces, but when they are on the way out of this place, the revolutionary forces were able to detonate the remaining 2 points (20 mines) .

As a result of the attack, a total of 4 military junta soldiers were killed, including one from the Nat Yae Kan military camp and three from Gwaytaw. The military junta’s side also engaged in small weapons fire.
