In Mogok, where the battle is currently ongoing, the military junta is asking for help from rescue organizations to bury the bodies, a source close to the matter told BBM today, December 13.

The military junta is currently asking for help from funeral homes in Mogok to help bury the bodies.

“I heard that all the free funeral service in the west are volunteering, there must be about three, someone told me yesterday,” the source said.

There have been nine clashes in western Mogok so far, and the revolutionary forces have recaptured two military camps at Dhat Taw Monastery and Sakhan Gyi.

On December 12, there was also a clash near Kyauk Pyatthat in the west.

“Yesterday from 9 am to 12 pm, it was quiet, then from 3 pm to 6 pm, and so far it has been quiet,” the source said.

Since the military junta returned, it has been stationed in public buildings such as hospitals and schools, which is a flagrant violation of international military regulations.

“They started entering schools and hospitals, but now they are deploying their forces in key areas of the city, and they are probably already sitting on strategic hills,” he added.

The areas where the revolutionary forces have taken a foothold are better than those of the military junta, but if the junta were able to recapture the areas of strategic hill and Yat Taw Mu, it may be a little difficult for revolutionary forces.

The military junta bombed the public hospital in Mrauk-U on December 10, and then flew to Thit Seint Kone, west of Mogok, on another front, at around 5 pm on December 12.

“I think they bombed that areas that there will be PDFs, and locals said that in the battle in the west, there are many casualties on junta side. Now that they had bombed, there will be no harm, it’s really lucky,” the source said.

With just 15 days left until the military junta’s sham election, military analysts said that Mrauk-U Hospital was bombed and other revolutionary-controlled areas could be targeted in separate attacks.
