Mrauk-U General Hospital in Rakhine State, was bombed by the military junta, killing 33 civilians including medical staff and injuring 76 others.
Yesterday, December 10, at around 9 pm, the military junta dropped two 500-pound bombs on the Mrauk-U General Hospital by a jet fighter.
A total of 33 people, including 16 men and 17 women, who were receiving treatment, were killed in the bombing of the General Hospital, with 18 men and 9 women seriously injured, and 49 others with moderate injuries.
“The junta dropped two 500-pound bombs, one of which hit the hospital where the patients were receiving treatment, and the other exploded on the building where is in the front of the motorcycle parking,” a local resident in Mrauk-U told BBM.
Relevant organizations and civil society organizations are currently providing assistance to the injured to receive medical treatment.
On August 25, the military junta also dropped a 500-pound bomb on Daing Kyi village in Mrauk-U, killing 15 people, including children, and injuring at least 18 others.
