Military junta bombed Namtu and Thibaw (Hsipaw) Towns again on Thadingyut Full Moon Day

The TNLA announced today that the military junta bombed Namtu and Hsipaw towns, which are under the control of the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), from the air on the Thadingyut Full Moon Day, destroying many houses.

On October 6, at 7:43 am, jet fighters dropped bombs on a civilian population in Ward 2, Myoma Market, Namtu Town, damaging six houses.

“The military dictatorship has an agreement with China, and it will take over all the towns along the Chinese trade route. These are Hsipaw, Kyaukme, Naungcho, Lashio, Theinni, and the towns along the 105-mile road,”

a member of the revolutionary forces told BBM. The N.A.S. told BBM that the aircraft that carried out the airstrike took off from Tada-U Air Base.

“It took off from Tada-U Air Base,”

the official told BBM. On October 2, four civilians were killed and five others were injured in a bomb attack on Namtu town.

The TNLA has warned that the military dictatorship is committing war crimes against civilians by attacking areas, where are controlled by the revolutionary forces, with manpower, heavy weapons, drones and airstrikes.
