AA and allied forces are threatening the lifeblood of the military junta’s defense industries

The AA, which is spreading across the country and attacking the military junta, has been attacking Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady along the Rakhine Yoma border since it captured 14 townships in Rakhine and Paletwa township in Chin State.

The AA, which controls about 95 percent of Rakhine State, has been regrouping and conducting an offensive with allied forces on the other side of the Rakhine Yoma to prevent the military junta from launching a counterattack on the areas where AA has captured.

The AA and local joint forces are attacking the military junta on Magway, Bago, and Ayeyarwady on the other side of the Rakhine Yoma, since January 2025, and has now lasted for more than 9 months.

During the current 9-month-long conflict, the Arakan Army (AA) and allied forces have become a threat to the military junta’s bloodline which the military equipment defense industries in Magway Division and Bago Division.

The AA launched an offensive the military junta in Magway Region
by collaborating with the Chin Defense Force and the Ashochin Defense Force, the Magway Region-based PDF battalions, the Student Arms Force (SAF), the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), and the People’s Revolutionary Alliance (PRA) (Magway).

In late 2024, after the AA captured Ann Township, where the Western Region Command is located, the military junta redeployed troops from the Padan area in Magway Region to capture the township, but was intercepted by allied forces such as the SAF, PRA, and PLA.

The interception by the allied forces prevented the military junta from entering into Rakhine State, and the AA also attacked the military junta’s outposts and outposts in Magway Region early this year. As the strategic hills are being re-attacked, the military junta is once again conducting a defensive their bases from being overrun.

Currently, the Arakan Army and the AA have captured the Nat Yae Kan Air Defense Base in Padan Township, Ngape Township, Magway Division, on October 14, but only the Khamauktaung base remains to fully control the entire strategic hills.

If the AA and allied forces can capture just one camp on the Ann-Padan road connecting Rakhine State and Magway, they will be able to capture the entire Ann-Padan road.

The military junta’s Nat Yae Kan strategic hill on the border of Rakhine State and Magway Division is not only a key military base but also a key base for the allied forces to penetrate into Magway Division.

While the AA and allied forces are attacking the Nat Yae Kan strategic hill on the Ann-Padan road, the forward outposts of the strategic hill, such as MPT Tower camp, Ma Htone, Ywa Thit, Linde, Suntet, Kan Myin Kan, Kyit Yay San, Pein Yay San, Goke Gyi village and Fighter Kone camp, have been captured and controlled.

The AA and allied forces captured the Goke Gyi and Fighter Kone camps east of the Nat Yae Kan strategic hill, which brought them closer to threatening the 14th defense industry in the Padan military area.

The military junta regrouped its forces from the 14th defense industry to retake the Goke Gyi and Fighter Kone camps, but since they were ineffective, they are reportedly expanding and constructing more checkpoints near the Ann-Padan road junction near the 14 defense industry and near Thayar Kone village.

The distance between the Goke Gyi camp and the 14th defense industry, which is currently controlled by the AA and the joint forces, is only about 7 miles, and the distance between the Fighter Kone camp and the defense industry is only about 4 miles.

Military sources also said that this distance is such that the joint forces of the revolutionary forces can attack the 14th defense industry, which is the lifeblood of the military junta, from a distance with heavy artillery.

The 14th defense industry of the military junta is located in Pwint Phyu Township, Magway Region, and is a major gas filling factory for the production of military equipment.

The 20th defense industry in Sidoktaya Township, Magway Division is also an industry that produces air defense weapons and artillery.

The junta’s bomb production industry, which is bombing innocent civilians from the air without any battles, is the 21st defense industry in Seit Phyu Township, Magway Division.

The 21st defense industry, which is operated by the junta in collaboration with Chinese nationals, produces 250-pound, 500-pound and cluster bombs, and the number of employees in the industry is over 3,000.

The junta’s generals have mainly built
defense industries in places far from ethnic areas, and most of the defense industries in Magway Division are based on the west bank of the Ayeyarwady River.

Similarly, the Arakan Army and the AA, along with allied forces, are attacking the military junta’s outposts in Sinlan village near the No. 6th defense equipment manufacturing plant, the 6th defense industry, in Oke Shit Pin Township, Bago Region, causing the military junta to many casualties.

Sinlan village, where the AA and allied forces are attacking, is only about 6 miles away from the 6th defense industry, so the military junta has reorganized its forces near the industry and has added a large number of forces, and some of the equipment in the industry is being moved to other
defense industries.

The 6th defense industry is connected to all others and is the main raw material for the production of all kinds of iron products for military equipment.

The 6th defense industry is located 3 miles west of Oke Shit Pin Township, and the 9th industry and 5th industry are located on on the South of the Pathein-Monywa road.

The 6th defense industry, located in Nyaung Chay Dauk Village, Oke Shit Pin Township, is surrounded by the 6th
defense industry mountain ranges such as Laythar Taung, Sinlan Taung, and Sanpat Let Taung.

Currently, these defense industries
are being attacked by the Arakan Army and the AA, and military observers say that they may fall to the revolutionary forces in the near future.

Military observers added that even if the revolutionary forces were to capture the
defense industries, they would only be able to destroy the equipment inside the factories and would not be able to hold them for long.

On October 14, the AA and allied forces of the Arakan Army captured a checkpoint near the 16th defense industry, in the east of Oke shit Pin township.

The AA and allied forces of the Arakan Army are also threatening to attack the areas near the 6th defense industry
and the16 th defense industry
in Oke Shit Pin township, Bago Region.

The 16th defense industry is located near Mahtone village in Oke Shit Pin township, and is an industry that produces explosives and is related to the 5th defense industry.

There are seven defense industries in Bago Region where the AA and allied forces of the Arakan Army are attacking, including 3rd, 7 th and 19th in Pyay township, In Oke Shit Pin Township, there are 5th, 6th, 9th and 16th defense industries.

There are many defense industries in Myanmar, with the largest number being 15 in Magway Division, 7 in Bago Division, 2 in Nay Pyi Taw (Tatkon) and 1 in Yangon (Tike Kyi).

The military junta has secretly built defense industries in the areas, such as in the forests and the mountains, 30 or 10 miles from the city, where there are no people and no communication lines.
